Aircraft Bluebook At-a-Glance has reviewed the current market status of the Cessna Citation CJ4 business jet. Research for this study was obtained in part from Aircraft Bluebook, Aircraft Bluebook’s Historical Value Reference, the FAA’s registry website and various trade services.
The active Citation CJ4 fleet is approximately 264 aircraft currently. At the time of this writing, approximately 10 CJ4s, representing 3.7 percent of the active fleet, were reported for sale, with the average time on market likely more than 200 days.
Current offerings for the Citation CJ4s range from $6 million to mid-$7 million. Airframe time varies from several hundred hours to around 4000 hours, depending on the year-model ...

Another year in the bucket, one more in the history books, another chapter ending. These phrases describe inevitable, inertial change, and they sum up the used business aircraft market at the end of 2017.
For business aviation, as far as Aircraft Bluebook is concerned, 2017 was a year of continued growth. Growth in the pre-owned business jet segment can be measured by the number of changes in ownership (sales) that have occurred compared to previous years.
Current Market Strength represents an aircraft’s current strength in the market.
As the days of summer have grown, so have available inventories of late-model business jets in the global market. What makes these days most interesting are the volumes of late-model jets for sale with competitive pricing.
It appears the first quarter of 2016 is demonstrating what pace the pre-owned aircraft market is likely to follow going forward this year. New deliveries of business aircraft seem to have created a greater inventory of available pre-owned aircraft in the marketplace.
